Sweeter than Honey!

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103 We are hooked on sweets! Everything from chocolate to soda pop, we are in love with anything sweet! No one ever has to tell us to eat sweets, in fact  most of us working at trying to regulate our intake. We all know that if we eat too much sugar we get fat. This verse reminds us that the “words of God” are sweet. God’s word satisfy’s that taste that we crave. David said, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” God’s word is good. When you know it is good, no one has to tell you to eat it. No, you want it, in fact you get up in the middle of the night in search of it.When I do allow myself the pleasure of chocolate, (which I must admit is far too often) I absolutely enjoy the taste of it in my mouth. Sometimes I savor it and sometimes I devour it, but every time I enjoy it.This morning the Psalmist reminded me that there is something sweeter than honey (sugar) and that is the Word of God. The Word is free! You don’t have to run to the store or sneak off to eat it. You can get up and enjoy the very essence of God’s food. In fact you can eat all you want.My hunger, my craving is only satisfied by partaking of the sweetest food in heaven and earth. His Word! Word that became flesh. Word that is the very bread of Life. Go ahead enjoy the sweetness of God. The fatness that it produces may prove to be beneficial in the long run.Listen to what the prophet Isaiah says in this statement: "And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." Isaiah 10:27 NKJ).In the Amplified version the last portion of the scripture is translated; "The yoke shall be destroyed because of fatness [which prevents it from going around your neck].It seems to me that the Word of God (sweets of His makeing) could literally produce the very ANOINTING  that could destory the yokes (bondages, burdens, limitations) that the enemy tries to place on our lives!JUST SAY'IN.....
