I wonder if, even as believers in the One behind such miracles, we are doubting Thomas's when it comes to miracles in our own times. Some might argue that we’ve cheapened miracles, ascribing supernatural causes to what, in the big picture, are fairly ordinary occurrences.Others, myself among them, would argue that perhaps the truth is quite the opposite. If not every amazing unfolding of events qualifies, maybe we overlook miracles right in front of us because our “qualifying standards” are so unreasonably high.After all, wasn’t it Isaac Newton who said, “In the absence of other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God’s existence”?“George, it’s a miracle!
