See no Evil!

[For then it will be that] the Lord has taken away the judgments against you; He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in the midst of you; [and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more.                     Zeph. 3:15 AMPWe are given the assurance of complete deliverance from evil. One translation says, "...you shall see disaster no more." Another says, "...you shall have no more trouble."Interestingly enough most people evaluate and judge God's word more by their experience rather than by His Character. I have listened as many believers would accept the theory that this text is true for some of God's people, however, personally their experience has proven otherwise.I truly believe that God's goodness is victorious over evil and that His Presence destroys evil. I am continually meditating upon God's Word, seeking to see the very "goodness or glory" that Moses longed to and eventually experienced. I have come to understand that we are responsible to respond to His prophetic promises.Too often our Christian culture remains unengaged and unresponsive to the invitation of the Lord. To Ask, Seek and Knock. To "commune," to "reach forward,"  "draw near," to "hunger and thirst," for Him who is Good."...[and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more." I know that He has come to us, to the world. I also know that we must come to Him. We sometimes have domesticated Christ and reduced this love affair to mere logic and failed to realize that though He has come to all of us, He also comes to those who respond and come to Him.God meets with those who desire to meet with Him. "He inhabits the praise of His people." It is in that "manifested Glory," or "Real Presence," in which evil is completely destroyed. Worship, Unity, the gathered family of God responding to the finished work of Christ creates an atmosphere, where the "presence" of God can be "hosted" and the Goodness of God can be experienced, and evil can be defeated in our daily lives. This is not a one time experience! Oh, yes I understand that the work of Christ on the Cross and His resurrection was "once and for all." However, the reality of that reality  was intended to be experienced on a daily and weekly basis. What has happened in our culture is a diminished appreciation for sacred actions that connect us to a sacred God. As we rejected the historical "rites" and created our own we lost the mystery of His manifested Presence. Many times we opted for what the culture desires rather than on the actions given to us by a Holy God.The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in the midst of you; [and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more.     Zeph. 3:15 AMPPerhaps we should focus on hosting the King and not the culture if we desire to see evil defeated in our daily lives....!
