Passivity!!!!

A close friend whom I consider to be very prophetic sent this to me yesterday! It was too good not to share with you all.

He has had me in 1 Samuel 17 for quite some time.  In 1 Samuel 17 (David & Goliath) the Philistines and Goliath keep coming out every morning in their "usual" way and shouting at the Israelites.  Each time Goliath does so the Israelites run.  Goliath kept coming out and coming out taunting them, wearing them down.  Though they were not physically fighting Goliath his words directed to them was beating them down.  It got to the point where they ran from him when he came out in his "usual" way and shouted at them.  Though they had not physically been fighting him and the other Philistines they mentally had been in a battle.  They would not raise their spears to fight.  They would not counter his words.  They had become "passive".  It took someone from the outside (a young guy named David) to remind them of who they were, who was their God and that He was in covenant with them and not with Goliath, and that God would do battle on David/their behalf.  He (God through David) broke through that passivity.  God has told me the church is like the Philistines.  There has been much battle that has gone on against the church and individuals for quite a while.  Many have dropped/put aside their battle gear.  Many have become like men frozen in place - passive.  He is going to break off that passivity.  He is calling is to wage war!  Get back in the battle!  The victory is ours!
