 Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-Nego! I grew up hearing these names, only to realize that these were not their real names. Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.... these are their real names. Their real names contained and embodied their covenant with God. Their real names were a sacrament of their true identity.Nebuchadnezzar attempted to destroy their identity. He ordered their names changed. Culture attempts to name us after its own values. We must stand against the cultures attempt to rename us!!!!
