Unfailiing Love

 Solomon points out that what we truly desire is love, not just any love but a love that is unfailing. "What a person desires is unfailing love..." Proverbs 19:22 NIV. I have come to realize that every human disappointment is one of failed love .Paul writes, "Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].... "(1Cor. 13:8). God (who is self described as 'love' never fails) but most of the time He is misunderstood by the objects or subjects of His love. Love seldom feels "unfailing." In case and point love never seems to deliver what we "expected."I wonder if we limit love to our individual expectations.  Unfailing love is most likely not only working for me but perhaps for the whole of creation. Not only will He not fail to love me, but I think that he will never fail anyone who receives His love.Unfailing love must be received with not only with oneself in mind but for all those who also trust in His unfailing love. I suspect our disappointment is the results of our failure to love those whom the One who "never fails to love" --- loves.I agree with Solomon and with Paul. I desire "unfailing love." And I know that God (Love) never fails. If I am to live in the joy of my desire I must open my heart to others who desire that same unfailing Love!Perhaps my desire is best realized in my giving "unfailing love" and not in the chasing of it????? Maybe love that 'never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end' would be worth living!If you desire "unfailing love" call some one and tell them you love them today!
